By joining the Deutscher Eisenbahn-Verein e.V. as a member you can help us to keep alive the witnesses of the branch line history for the future. Please get membership information from the DEV station office.

As a member you will receive four annual issues of our magazine "Die Museums-Eisenbahn". Furthermore you will have free rides with our museum railroad from Bruchhausen-Vilsen to Asendorf and you are entitled for discounted tickets at many German museum railroads. We allways need practical help to keep our trains running. Ask for details!

The phones are busy monday to friday 9.00 to 11.00 o'clock (central european time). At all other times you can leave your message to our phone answering machine. We will call back or mail our answer to you.

Special train rides for groups ...

You and your group would like to have an individual visit to the First Museum Railway of Germany? Then fix your own timetable.

The Deutscher Eisenbahn-Verein gives you the opportunity to hire special trains on our narrow gauge museum railway Bruchhausen-Vilsen -- Heiligenberg -- Asendorf. You can choose a steam train with historic coaches (3rd class, wooden chairs), a diesel train or a motorcar.

You can fix the timetable by yourself, ask for details at the DEV station office.

We do offer additional train rides on the standard gauge line "Hoyaer Eisenbahn" Eystrup -- Hoya/Weser -- Bruchhausen-Vilsen -- Heiligenfelde with the motorcar T2 (build in 1956). Please ask for details.

Reservations must be done 4 weeks in advance. For information or booking call the DEV station office at Bruchhausen-Vilsen.

The museum-shop at Bruchhausen-Vilsen station offers all kind of railroad-literature, model-railroads and gifts. Open only on operation days of the museum railroad. The Shop will be opened one hour before departure of the first train.
