Preview 2010 Operations

In 2010 our regular trains will operate saturdays as well as sundays and holidays from the 1st of may to the 3rdh of october. We do offer our timetable as Adobe Acrobat-Reader Files for downlaod and printout: DEV Flyer 2010 in german language (Acrobat-Reader File, 1,9 MB) Special events with additional train rides will take place on these days:

• April 4 & 5: Easter holiday - diesel train rides on the standard gauge track to Hoya.
  Br.Vilsen dep.: 11.00am; 1.00pm; 3.00pm; 5.00pm; Hoya dep.: 10.00am; 12.00am; 2.00pm; 4.00pm.
  
• May 1: Season start at the Museum Railway; special train schedule; additional events.

• May 15: "Spargel-Express" - culinary train ride with asparagus dinner, Br.Vilsen dep. 6.30pm, Price 32,50 EUR (Reservation required, please call the Restaurant "Dillertal", Phone: 04252/2680 or FAX: 04252/678).
  
• May 23 & 24: Pentecost, additional train operations.
  
• June 5 & 6: Model Railroad Show at Heiligenberg - model railroad show at the DEV carriage shed at Heiligenberg; special train schedule.
  
• June 26: "Schlemmer-Express" - culinary steam ride with 5 Meal-Stations, Br.Vilsen dep. 6.30pm, Price 36,50 EUR (Reservation required, please call the Restaurant "Dillertal", Phone: 04252/2680 or FAX: 04252/678).
  
• July 3 & 4: Historical Weekand - special timetable with additional trains for photographs, historic freight operations.
• August 7 & 8: Railfan Spectacular - "Jubilee 175 years railroad in germany" - on 7th december 1835 the english build steam engine "Eagle" rolled down the 7.5 km long rails form Nürnberg to Fürth, starting the development of the dense rail infrastructure in germany.
  
  The association of german museum- and tourist-railways "Verband Deutscher Museums- und Touristikbahnen e.V. – VDMT", the friends of the railway from Delmenhorst to Harpstedt "Delmenhorst-Harpstedter Eisenbahnfreunde (DHEF)", the state railway of Lippe "Landeseisenbahn Lippe" and the "Deutscher Eisenbahn-Verein e.V." will celebrate this jubilee on august 7 & 8 with a railfan spectacular dedicated to private railways in the northern part of germany titled "Privatbahnen in Norddeutschland". We then have to address some regional jubilees as well::
  110 years railway Hoya – Syke – Asendorf,
  100 years railway Verden – Walsroder,
  100 years railway Delmenhorst – Harpstedter,
  100 years railway Bremen – Thedinghausen.
  This railfan spectacular will be presented as a distributed exhibtion with connecting train services in the area Eystrup – Bruchhausen-Vilsen – Asendorf and Syke. Detailed information about this event will be published here and on these web sites:

• August 14: "Kartoffel-Express" - late steam ride with a special potatoe dinner, Br.Vilsen dep. 6.30pm, Price 28,50 EUR (Reservation required, please call the Restaurant "Dillertal", Phone: 04252/2680 or FAX: 04252/678).
  
• August 27 to 31: Additional train rides to the "Brokser Heiratsmarkt" (traditional fair) on the standard gauge track (Eystrup - Hoya - Br.Vilsen and Br.Vilsen - Syke).
  
• October 11: "Oktoberfest-Express " - late steam ride with a special bavarian dinner, Br.Vilsen dep. 6.30pm, Price 24,50 EUR (Reservation required, please call the Restaurant "Dillertal", Phone: 04252/2680 or FAX: 04252/678).
  
• September 11 & 12: Open House at the museum and Children's day - guided tours, special activities and explanations for children.
  
• October 3: Season end at the Museum Railway.
  
• November 27; December 4/11/18: Train rides with Santa Claus - Br.Vilsen dep.: 2.00pm; 4.15pm.
  
• November 28; December 5/12/19: Train rides with Santa Claus - Br.Vilsen dep.: 11.15am; 2.00pm; 4.15pm.
  

Print your own special timetable

For your convenience we do keep the timetables for some days of operation with special events in Adobe "Acrobat-Reader" format (*.PDF-Files). You will find these files on the timetable page. If you are interested in an event you can download the Acrobat-file and look up the detailed timetable or even send it to your printer. If the Adobe Acrobat-files are new to you, please read the information below.

Some information about Adobe Acrobat Reader and the Portable Document Format (PDF):

The Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format for easy interchange of documents on different computer systems, including Macintosh, Windows, DOS or even UNIX. A document in the PDF format keeps it original layout, fonts and graphics.

PDF documents can be looked at and printed with the Adobe Acrobat-Reader. The Acrobat-Reader is freeware, you can download it from Adobe via internet. But look up your CD-ROM collection first, as it is likely that you have the Acrobat-Reader allready at home. If this is not the case, use the WWW-address below for download:

After installation of Acrobat-Reader on your computer you can configure your web browser to automatically start the Acrobat-Reader, when a link to a PDF document is found.
